It all depends on how one is proportioned.

A lanky person with long arms and legs could be very tall and still fit in a car where-as someone with more torso high could easily max out the room.

I'm 5'11" and the fit it tight, (I've had my seat lowered too)

I am 6'6" and when I owned mine it was a 3 seater. I also cannot drive RX8's with moonroofs as I hit my head.

lol my wheel IS all the way up.

I think I'm build similar to the RX; 50/50. Both my legs and my torso are just a little too tall for the car.

6'6" and the 8 was one of very few cars I could *really* fit into.

Bear in mind that I have manual seats that sit much lower than the powered versions, and that without a sun-roof there's more headroom. My seat is full back and the seat moderately reclined - so yeah it's a three seater alright.

I genuinely feel that the 8 is one of the most roomy cars around from a driving position perspective.

The only hassle I have is that the manual seats don't have much padding where the two halves come together which is bad for my back on longer drives. As a result I've got a padded small cushion in there which does the trick very nicely. However it does push me a little closer to the dash and I've noticed I'm scraping the dash with my shin when shifting sometimes.

I need one of those if I get an 8 again. I had the same problem. I don't think I have found a car I can comfortably drive more than 3 hours without a back cramp.

Heh well it's not anything high-tech - it's a home grown and very cheap back support cushion. But it makes a huge difference, given the curious lack of padding in the "join" area.

Have you ever driven a Lincoln LS? I own one of those, most comfortable car. I too have always had problems with back issues. The LS is the only car Ive driven long hours in without problems.. The real test comes when I drive to Cali & back from Nebraska..

I am 195cm (just shy of 6' 5") and I know I need a haircut when I feel my hair spiking the roof lining

I wish above all else that the OEM seats would ride all the way back to the rear seat so my legs could be comfortable on the track. Speaking of which I have an intentation on the inside of my sunroof area where my head/helmet hits.

I'm 6'4" and fit great. I pull the sun roof cover back and my hair doesn't touch at all. The main problem I run into with being tall is that the rear view mirror on many cars is way too low in my field of vision and bugs the hell out of me, but the 8's is no problem.

I have also managed to get my two other friends who are 6'4" into the car at the same time without any problem. Well, except for the fact that they always forget about the suicide doors and try to move the front seat forward.

6'5" & 275 lbs. (middle linebacker)

I've taken an 8 hour drive to TN with pre-teen two kids in the back and a trunk full of luggage. The car was slammed with stock springs. I was OK with the interior space, tight, but OK.

I'm a little more than 6'5", but I got my 6'8" dad in the passenger seat, with my 5'11" mom behind him and my 5'10" sister behind me. I bet it looked like a freakin' circus car when we flipped open all the doors and got out.

Luckily it was a 5 block ride to the ice cream stand we were headed to.

Yeah,, I'm 6'6" and 215 lbs. I fit rather nicely. Have spent 11 hours in the car one time on a drive. No Problems. I have thought about one of those knee pads ,,but I think it would put my leg into the steering wheel.
All in all the car is still pretty roomy for it's, size.

6' 1" I fits great but I don't think anyone would be able to sit behind me. I like my seat like Im in a fighter jet, where ur *** is lower then ur knees and the back of the seat is about at a 60degree angle. My leg is almost straight out when I push the clutch to the floor. Could probably adjust if someone needed to sit behind me and be just fine though.

6'4, with a sunroof no problems. It is more comfortable for me to drive long distance than any car I have had. I have had me, a 6'3 friend in the front, and our 5'8 and 5"7 wives in the back, with no problem. I do have to put the driver seat all the way for my wife to get in behind me, but once in, the seat goes back almost all the way, and she still has room.

I do the same, but if I want to sit straight, ie not leaning over the centre console I have problems.
