Why is it that cops always sit out on nice sunny days?

This is sort of rant, but I got what I deserved really. Speeding will eventually lead to tickets... First nice day that I was able to get out and drive the 8 and on my favorite road there was a cop in a nice new charger. I was still 500 yards away and his brake lights came on and I knew it was my day. Sure enough he pulls me over in a place with no shoulder and my tires sunk in the mud (rained 2.5" 2 days before), gets out and goes through the normal motions and then says "nice 8. thats an 05 isn't it? Last year they did the nordic green color" and then we proceeded to shoot the **** for a few minutes about his charger and my 8 then he went and filled out my ticket. He dropped it down to a $90 and 1 point and I could probably get a hearing to get the point removed.

Now my question is about my insurance... Twenty years old, my own policy and the car's title is in my name. What would this violation do to my insurance? I'm kind of new to this ticket thing really...

Defensive driving / or that other thing where they put you on probation. no contest, or you can get the point removed and eat it... or pay a traffic ticket lawyer.

I work with insurance and I suggest you pay a lawyer. I always do, but then again I've known my lawyer since i was 12 cause he used to be my basketball coach.

Some insurance companies have a "first act forgiveness" like mine your first ticket or wreck they don't up your rates but if you get a second they hammer u with it lol....you prob are ok....you prob can fight it and get the 1 point off but idk if i personally would go through the hastle...

I have no problem paying the ticket, but I was just wondering if insurance companies like Nationwide do random spot checks to check for tickets or violations. If they did see the ticket how much would my premium go up? If it isn't going to effect me too much then I might just pay the ticket and forget about it...

It really depends on your Area.

most likely, if its just 1 point, nothing will happen to your policy.

I got a ticket about a month ago, damn fuxking cops pull me only, when everyone else doing the same or faster speed. I was about to curse the **** outa them but it wont help, they can probably put 50 round on my body while they can still keep their job.

I hate Cops.

Females can usually walk away with "just" a warning.

Sometimes I hate myself being a guy

But I like dating chicks so ...

Just one question, why do you still speed. 32 tickets and still no lesson learned? You gotta pick your spots, you can't just throw the hammer down everytime your behind the wheel. JEBUS

Question
Why is it that cops always sit out on nice sunny days?

Answer:
Because they KNOW we're out there trying to battle carbon build up.

He seemed educated about the car so maybe I should have given him that as an excuse.

I work for the town which is the same town hes stationed in. The police station is right beside our office... He pulled me over out of town limits leading up to the twisty mountain roads I was trying to get to. He didn't know who I was because we usually don't see them often, but even if he did I doubt he would have let it slide.

I always hated on a nice sunny day, I'd take my TII FC out, open the sunroof, and just cruise the day away.....boy, cops hated me in that car. 3" exhaust all the way back. Every time I'd boost, everybody would think a plane was crashing down

I've been lucky in my car, because every time I've been speeding, a cop would be in the perfect way to where they can't clock me :D

one thing I've noticed about cops is that they frequent the same spots. On the same Parkways, Turnpikes, etc.

If you travel the same route for about a week you can find all the spots the cops hide on it (usually reflected by tire tracks on grass behind a large bush or tree). When I was working for Cablevision cops would be out at midnight cause thats when a bunch of us got off and they knew. Some of our guys still got caught . After a while you kinda know where they are. The cops that will catch me are usually the ones driving along side me in the UMC's or on the other side of some SUV so I don't see them until its too late.

Sad part is, I used to like the challenge Chargers on the LIE too, not anymore...

Heads up, they got Grey Mustangs now too.

Oh, and I write more tickets to females than males. Even when they cry...and they do cry....a lot.

I love cops. I speed, but I know if I get caught, it's mine to deal with. Cops are just doing their job, to feed their family, etc.

I think I've gotten somewhere around 6 speeding tickets, and I haven't ever seen it effect my rates.

I guess. I never took any classes or went to court when I lived in NJ. Insurance didn't change.

Here in FL I took a few video tape courses to stop the points, but I am only allowed one per year, so one year I got two tickets. I got 2-3 points on the ticket. Insurance rates still the same.

You can pay a little extra to get the point removed, and nothing should be added to your insurance. I've done it a few months ago, but I removed something like 2 3 points for going 41 in a 25. I ended up paying something near 450$, nothing near what you should pay, but in the end, I learned my lesson, and I dont have any increase in my insurance policy..

well here go's i see a lot of this and a lot of that on the road everyday kinda keep my own world of time and space (**** the hell out of me girl)but belieave it or not if and when i ever get pulled over i tell the truth no matter what and have the best of respect for what they do.if a person on the phone making life a pain in the a@# i let them know i have not the habit of flying pass this jerk but i feel i had no choice to protect myself and clear a path that keeps me safe and anyone around me the same space!it seems to me that most people that had some problems have had a bad answer or something at the time of the stop but this has a lot to do with the area in which you know your positive and or negative police. i am blessed that most in my area are good and polite and even have a sense of humor and respect for the odd ***** like myself.nuff said hope it works out!

ok how about I don't hate cops, but i hate the speed laws they have in our country, I have a car that can do 130, and 90 feels managable in GOOD weather, but unless I'm on a track I'm "stuck" going 75 ........... Now I know not everyone should be able to go fast, but maybe make like a class you can take, or if you dont get a ticket for x amount of years your allowed to go faster.
