Question Why do the side-mirrors need to be two tone?

why not make them all black or all the body color? it seems to me it would be simple to go either way.

It is probably cheaper. I wish they would spend a few more bucks and paint the darn things.

But I like red/black mirrors to go with the red/black interior!

According to the press kit
Door mirrors are equipped with a brite built-in lamp that illuminates the ground next to the car when a door lock is released on opening a door manually or using keyless entry
I have never seen that in a car but it has a lot of merrit. I have stepped into things before I wish I hadn't when getting out of cars at night.

ohh there was a guy in my neighborhood the other night visiting one of my neighbors. i dont remember what kind of car it was (it was dark and a little rainy). but he pushed the button on his keyfob to unlock the door as i was walking past and a light came on from his mirror!. it was shining down on the ground and also at the door handle. it seemed really handy for getting the door open in the dark. come to think of it, it might have been an suv sort of thing and not a car. i remember him lifting a little kid up into the car thru the back door. really cool place for a light
