Angry Why is it so hard to post Video Dyno?

I have been trying to hunt down the specs for a Greddy Turbo system for a friend on the RX-8 it's not on Greddy's site, and I only know what Esmeril Racing has offered.

More a pet peeve really, I am getting more and more jittery though as I finish the Mustang up a bit. There has to be somebody who's dyno'ed before, I know there has to be, and why they can't post the pull then the numbers I dunno, the rest of the car world does, but we RX-8 owner's must be special, because only an advertisement for the Interceptor ECU seems to post this stuff!

are you looking for just a dyno graph? or an actual video? If you want a graph, there's a thread that has a graph of all the turbo and supercharger kits out for the 8... Of course you might have variation from car to car, but it's at least a good general idea.

what do you get out of staring at a car not moving on a dyno?

It's not the car on the dyno, as much as the actual graph. It's obvious from what I have found now that the Greddy Turbo is extremely undersized, possibly due to flawed formula which I can guess at given the small turbo and small cubic displacement.

Why you need a video of the dyno is beyond me as it doesn't prove a damn thing

It's more for kicks, like when you tune a high power ZO6 or a GT500 with a new Supercharger Upgrade they usually rock the dyno a bit it's kinda cool to watch is all.

I much need to know what the "mm bhr" stuff means with the 2nd Greddy kit, I'm kinda lost to the extension there...

they are probably referring to the upgrade kit MM used to sell for the greddy kit to upgrade the baby snail to a gt3071r.

That's a misconception. The greddy turbo is properly sized for the boost the kit was designed to run with - 6 psi.

If you try to go above 6 psi, you'll find the engine uses air faster than the turbo pushes it, and boost drops back down to 6 no matter how high you had it set to earlier.

Look for the dyno comparison thread if you want to know what the kits look like next to each other. The only issue it to make sure you take into consideration that some kits are running at 13 psi, others are running at 6 psi. So not all are pushed to their limits.

I don't think I'll buy the stock greddy kit, I think I'll upgrade right out of the packaging. I don't have anything against Esmeril Racing, I just love greddy...
