why is there a sensor on my oil drain plug?

i have 2 defi gauges (EGT & boost gauge) but no oil temp gauge. I took my car for an oil change and the guy couldnt figure out how to open the plug..

I never saw the underneath of my car ever since I got it modded by a local shop. I got the oil changed last time at mazda and it was fine. but they charge too much.

any help?

the drain plug is on the other side, unless they put a return in through the oil drain plug for the turbo.

That's the oil level sender. Wrong side of the pan.

Yes and yes.
Whoever installed that turbo drain made a mess of it.

the wrapped line for the turbo is going in where your oil drain plug should/used to be.
