Why would mazda do this to my beautiful MS kit ?

WHY ?!?!?!!!!

So I walk up to the service manager and tell him what I need done, I also inform him of the fact that I DO NOT WANT A MAZDA EMBLEM ON MY MS FRONT. He says okay so just leave the emblem and we will not put it on. I leave the emblem that was sent w/ the MS kit in my friends car and we leave. I come back to see how its going and OMFG THERE IS A ******* MAZDA EMBLEM ON IT. ******* GREAT THEY DRILLED HOLES IN MY 1200 DOLLAR FRONT BUMPER SMFH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO THEN HE REALLY MESSES WITH MY EMOTIONS

"we can either leave it on, or we can fill in the holes and re-paint it"

man

wtf

I would tell them send it back and order me a new one or I will drive this POS mazda 3 into a damn lake, but in my mind I picture them filling, re-painting and then boxing it up like it was new. I just dont know what to do anymore.

oh man... they're really desperate for advertising... sorry dude. This is why i hate having other people do stuff with my car. If I knew how to paint, I would do everything myself.

I think Im just gonna tell them to plug and paint, and if it does not look brand new after I take a look at it, then I am going to tell them to order me a new bumper.

Well

IDK

Maybe I will tell them to order a new one anyway

ahhh **** idk what to do =(

I know you're pretty limited as far as options, I would probably have them fill it in. I know that I'd be furious.

I think you need a new bumper. It will never be new again. They screwed up and should pay for it. Or don't pay the labor. You should be able to get it resolved without going to small claims court.

I agree even the service manager himself said [suggesting that I leave the emblem] "there is nothing like the factory finish"

Sorry to hear that. I think you need a new bumper and the dealer is certainly responsible for the FU. I would never let them fill/paint their mistake. Sounds like a call to MazdaUSA is in order. They can be pretty helpful sometimes. Good luck.

Im going to request a new bumper tomorrow, but again, there is no way for me to authenticate unless it is delivered to my door or I pick it up from a different dealership. Wow, today was just horrid. I thought it would be pretty hard to mess up a day as great as getting the MS parts installed, but alas, I never cease to be amazed.

I work at a Mazda body shop. Tell them to put a new bumper on the thing and to tell you the truth be an *** about it. The noisy wheel gets the grease you know. I wouldn't let them plug and paint because you never know what kind of job they will do and how it will hold up over the years in the hot sun. Repairing a bumper isn't something that all people are good at. And you got a brand new bumper and they didn't do it right. As for knowing if they got you a new one or not you could demand to see the new bumper before it's been painted and see the drilled bumper at the same time next to each other. You told them not to do it and they did. It's their fault for ******* up.

Oh well he told me they will fill it and paint it and then if its not the same or if I am unsatisfied they will order a new bumper. Its just the fact that they have to try to fix something that cost so much money and was brand freaking new out of the box that just bothers me.

I guess we'll see what happens. I should tell them to shave off all the rear emblems too eh ?

Damn those biznatches. I personally like the emblem on the front, but screwing over a customer's request is another thing. A dealership scratched my MS kit after I told them to be careful with it. Why do they do this? Why???????

As soon as you leave the shop you're screwed. Unless you have, in writing, a lifetime warrantee that the repaired bumper will wear exactly like a new one, they don't have to replace it when it cracks.

Yes we know, which is why I have requested that I receive this in writing, and will ensure that I have it before I leave.

if a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing right.
And,
if you want something done right, you do it yourself.

So, we can conclude, if a jobs worth doing, you do it yourself.

Hope it all works out. Have them fill and paint, if you're not happy, raise a stink and get a new one.

I personally kind of like having the mazda emblem on the Mazdaspeed bumper. I must be the only one.

i like the emblem as well. but it would **** me off if the dealer screwed up specific instructions to leave it off. doesnt seem like there is any way they should get away with filling the holes. they can still get you a new one and sell that drilled bumper at a discount...making 2 customers happy.
