Wiring Help

I am in the process of installing my Lidatek (LE-10) Laser Jammer, which I had on my previous BMW 325i for the past 2 years. I took it off when you sold the car and bought the RX-8. It has been the best the thing I ever owned, and has saved me from all the laser traps. It was so easy to rout the wires in BMW from the front of the car through the fire wall, and into the cabin. I am not familiar with the RX-8, and I do not see many openings betwen the engine compartment and the interior cabin. what is the best location to rout the wires from the engine compartment. It will be great if there is any thing close to the glove compartment where I plan to place the control module. Any suggestions? or perhaps diagrams? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Cool Holes....

The best, (and probably only) good spot is just inboard of the windshield washer bottle. It is the big rubber grommet that the heater and A/C pipes go thru. Comes out behind the glove box.

A sharp screwdriver thru the 7 o'clock position, then a coat hanger thru the hole, and attach the wires you want to pull thru.

Using the '7 o'clock' position ensures that you will not poke holes thru the freon lines......

Idealone...I picked mine from company called Lidatek. 5 years ago they made model (LE-10) which is awsome. It blinds the laser gun for 5 seconds, you have the option to slow down, or speed the hell up, and pass the cop which usually makes them so mad. I probably escaped over 30 traps untouched while doing over 100 MPH. The company stopped making the LE10 due to cost last year, and started making a cheaper version LE20 which did not work. I personally tried the new model when my old LE10 stopped working , and I got a ticket. I talked these guys of swapping me the new LE20 with the old discontinued model, which is wonderful. I was told they will come up with a modefied LE20 6 months ago, but I never check back with them. Look them up at www.Lidatek.com
Do not buy the LE20. Another option, Escort is now selling a Laser phaser which does the same thing. People are saying lots of good things about it, but it is expensive $500 compared to the LE20 or 20 which costs $350.

Again this is not a rader jammer, rader jammers do not work. this is a laser jammer which is to be used only against laser guns. Get a rader detector for the rader guns. If you still need more info, please let me know

Mark,

thanks for the information.

i think around here they use radar more than they do laser so the jammer may not work so well for me. I will however be getting a good radar detector. I would like to get one that i can permanently intall by hooking up a small speaker in the car and taking the detector part and hiding it up near the windshield but then i would have to worry about hiding the wires and the parts that are not in the plastic housing.
