I currently have an 04 bb Rx-8 gt with about 76k. I bought it may 06 for 16,100 with 55k from a dealership. I love the 8 and hasnt really given me any major problems and hasnt had any engine replacement. The thing is that my paint has much damage to it such as front bumber since i bought it has a bunch of chips to the point that repainting would be the only option, key mark on driver door, scratches on other sides of the car and i want to start putting on the oem aero apperance parts:air dam, spoiler, aero flares. I was wondering if it would be cheaper or what you guys think about me selling my 8 and getting another one with less miles and maybe an 05 for a price around the one i initially bought mine for. Otherwise just buying the parts and putting them on my car and repainting or buying off another oem bumber. Also i would like to keep an 8 for a while(4-5 Years) and therfore add on other parts as well:rims, exhaust etc. I just dont know if my car is gonna be much reliable with the milage it has now to be putting on these things. Kinda stupid but i was just wondering

 

i'd just fix the one you got....if the engine goes then get another and mod the heck out of it

 

Keep the one you have if you are going to mod because the parts you have now are going to start wearing out soon enough so you will have to replace them anyways. That would seem better than buying a new one and throwing away good parts. I just got quoted about $3000-3500 for a paint job, fyi.
