Wut?

Shifting into 4th a 15mph is stupid and the engine will probably stall out, but it shouldn't harm the clutch.

At just above 15 is will go into 6th and idle fine, so I don't think the shift has anything to do with it as long as it wasn't like a redline clutch drop or anything.

Try popping it into reverse at 15MPH next time you want to hear noise.

I sure hope you didn't destroy your clutch... I had that happen to a local kid.
I was called out because his clutch went out and there was an awful smell.
When I pulled the starter out, a big clump of what used to be the clutch disc material jumped out at me.
When I got the transmission out, the whole inside was covered with disc material.
Then I noticed the flywheel was not only chewed to ****, but the gear ring actually popped-off!
Needless to say I couldn't use my flywheel stopper to help remove the nut, so we had to use an impact wrench.
If the clutch is shot... don't try to drive it!

Hmm, methinks there is more to this than you're telling us. Shifting to 4th at 15mph shouldn't do anything except stall the engine.

Let me guess, did you try to shift from 1st to 4th by flooring the gas and feathering the clutch out slowly? I've heard of people doing some stupid things with a manual transmission, but you my friend take the cake.

Your clutch is fried. It will probably need to be replaced. Don't even think of trying to BS your way into warranty service, they aren't going to buy it. Kiss your warranty goodbye.

Go WOT in 2nd to redline, uphill. If you feel it slip, you need a new clutch.

Release the clutch at a slow speed in a high gear with high RPM and try to notice if the RPM drops accordingly.
