The World First Rx8 2jz "Ready to Go".
Announcment: The World First Rx8 2jz is Ready to go in Kuwait
Today i would like to present the first rx8 Swap engine project in Kuwait. In 17th October 2008 which is my birthday i though about doing something crazy and suddenly i came up with the idea of swapping my rx8 engine into 2jz no matter or fact no one of ma close friends believed my idea and they where like are you crazy bla bla bla. However i have decided to go on with the project so i pulled out the rotary engine and i bought the 2jz engine and here is the adventure and the suffering Trip begins. I had to find some body to fit it in and i had to change the whole entire system of the car wow that was so excited i don't wanna go in details but the project took 10 month from me since i was really busy with my work and study to follow the project and the parts was not easy to find too. However I came up with something so unique and powerful. It doesn't matter how much you suffer since at the end of this suffering you will gain a positive result it is really expensive project too which exceed 16000 $ . Please critic stay away and don't play the smart *** and say why don't you buy supra instead of bla bla bla... well thatz wht am taking about it is the "adventure, challenging and fun" i don't wanna pay money for clamping or jumping from jet since my hobby is car modification so i will pay for it to enjoy it.

Guys it's an inline 6, not an iron block pushrod v8. I am sure it added 80-100lb to the front of the car, but 40 of that can be made up with the relocation of the battery so we're not talking about destroying the car's properties here people. I for one think the rx8 could use a little more torque.

congrats on pulling off the swap.

+1 on how the rx8 should use a little more torque we are all in that boat. I wasn't to sure of how much weight was actually added in with the swap. Whatever it maybe hopefully he can get the car as close as possible to the original properties.
But congrats on the swap you now have more torque and better gas miliage than most of us, I for one would love to see your 1/4 times when you get a chance.

And is there anyone else brave enough to do a engine swap? I would like to see a speed3 engine dropped into the 8's body. I'm not to sure on its weight and dimensions it probably wont work to well. But would deffiantely be a great sight to see.

But there are so many more candidates for swaps...older turbo rotaries, LS v8 engines, etc. all easily available with proven performance and ease of modification due to an extensive aftermarket, that I do not see why one would choose an oddball engine swap setup like that.

Yea I take my statement back after doing some more research on the speed3 engine. I rather stick with rotary on the 8 anyway as this is what it was designed for and its unique. But I think a turbo 20b would change our need for more torque
