yep, that was me, we loved our 8! i was just thinking about the swap the other day when i test drove a MS6... i was like damn i wish the rx8 was that fast, but yes you guys do make a good statement about the 50/50 and all, i didnt really think about all that.

did the new 07 rx-8's get any changes?

 

I'd like to try and put a renesis in a FD model year, or trans and rear too. That would be a fun platform to mess with and maybe see what 1/4 time i could get. Thing that sucks is someone would put a hit out on me for doing it.

 

The 8 is't really that much slower. Your feelin the 280 torque in that MSpeed 6. I'll bet it does'nt rev as smooth and linear to 9.5k rpm like the 8. I bet it only has a 7.5k red line. It's a mid-size luxury sport tuner, not a sportscar. I'd rather have the awd Ford 500. It's a bigger more practical comfortable luxury touring car with enough power and torque to get it done. I'll look at both when I'm ready for that kind of platform.

I don't think there's any big changes for the 07 rx8.
