In a heartbeat!!
The ONLY american I will ever buy is the C6. For the price and performance, it's the best value for the money...heck and it's even more economical than the RX8 (gas mileage) and with almost 3 times the power!!!

the price tag is 51,000 on the vette.. just fell in love with the power and the ride.... getting a trade in value on my 2004 rx8 with 21,000 miles on it of about $20,500. I have vette for weekend and finish the paperwork on monday.. already put 100 miles on it ..

Yeah, I love my 8, however that Z06, holy cats, man... That thing is comfortable and runs like a bat outta you know where... sheesh... so, I'd probably get the vette if I had the bread floating around, burning a hole in my pocket, just itching to drive faster... haha.

The interior design on most GM cars don't appeal to me. A friend had a C5, then a 04 Z06 and even though I respected the power and overall car, the interior designed sucked.
Would I trade in the 8 for a vette, nah...not enough to the vette to make me want to pick up the higher monthly payment compared to the fun the 8 delivers at it's price.

See, I own a Three-Top Z06 and a 8, both black.
I treat the Vette like a show car and the 8 is my daily driver.
The 8 gets similar gas mileage, both city and highway.
I couldn't see a Corvette as a daily driver with the 8 being so nimble and light.
The 8 even catches more stares.
I think you'll enjoy the Vette, but you'll miss the 8 badly.

well, if someone would take my rx8 for their vette (even trade, no assumptions of leasing or financing, though not very likely nor possible) yes, I would take a Z06. Other than that, I don't think i can afford one nor is it practical enough for me.

I could use the 8 as an everyday car. I couldnt use the vette for that.
If however you used the 8 as your secondary car which you only drove on the weekends, etc... and would use vette for the same purpose.
Then hellz yea I would trade.
You already had the pleasure of driving the 8, why not try a vette?

yes, i would buy a vette, it has new body style, very comfortable, powerful and fun to drive. But if you are asking me if i would trade it over my rx8, hell no, i am gonna have 1000 whp, but over a stock rx8, yess corvette in a heart beat. Good choice though man, have fun with the vette.

Not too bad buying and brand new Vette for $31K or so. (after trade-in for $20K for the 8). I also too think the only GM product I would ever own would have the Vette symbol on it :D
Would I trade in my 8 for a new Vette; yes, but my practical side would be saying what in the hell will you drive in the winter? The 8 goes great in the snow with the proper tires, no way would I attempt that in a Vette.
As Flyingleggs mentioned, if I wanted a 2-seater with more HP and in the same price range, I would have picked up a 350Z.

Speaking of Vette's I had a question.
My father is thinking of getting one in a year or so.
From my understanding there are 2 models,
One for about $45,000 and one for about $65,000.
The one for 65 g's has the better engine etc...
It also has the front bumper/ hood with the air intake built in.
He likes the one with the air intake built in, but doesnt want to blow the extra 20 grand on it.
My question to any1 who might know is can you get the $45,000 vette with the hood intake, or does the higher model of vette only come with it?

It only comes with the Z06 version.
