I've had a number of older guys refer to mine as a german porcshe. Once, I started to point out the relationship between the wankel and renesis and about 20 minutes later wished I'd have just nodded and been on my way.

When I take my car for car wash, it's sometimes amusing to see people's reactions when they open up the rear doors to clean inside. A few times people who are watching their car's get cleaned see them open those doors and they go "Whoaa!"

I guess you can take it as a compliment in that the Viper costs several times more and is way faster. But I really don't like my car being mistaken for a Viper on looks because, well, the Viper is ugly.

Me and whitesnowflakes8 got tickets last night from the campus security. It sounds stupid, but the campus semi driving training lot was the only place we could go( safety wise) without endangering some poor motorist on public roads. Anyways, apart from having 2 rx8s, the campus security wrote his ticket for a white mazda rx8 and mine for a red mazda se3p, just because i have the se3p badge on there. How the hell could he not notice they were the same make?

reminds me of the time i had my mr2 at a weekly meetup and this guy is taken aback when he sees my car and says "whoa, somebody brought a supra!"
had people ask about my 8, but not confuse it for anything else. however last night at starbucks as i was putting stuff in the backseat, i shut the rear door and a cute girl passing by turned around to check me out highlight of my night.
