its funny how much you have to deal with at the dealership..
so the other day i cracked my front bumper and i was calling around town for a price on how much i can get a new mazdaspeed bumper for , i called the dealership neer by and asked how much they had them and, the guy replys i dont think the mazdaspeed bumper will fit on the rx8.. i told him no no i dont want a mazdaspeed3 bumper i want the mazdaspeed bumper for the rx8, he then replys again.....i dont understand...i asked if i could talk to the manager and he blankly replys...i am the manager.. he told me to wait while he got some one else to help me. well i guess the next guy didnt understand either but told me it was 520 for a speed bumper, i told him id be right over..
when i got there i told them i had called for the mazdaspeed bumper for the rx8 and they both looked at me blankly like i never called, well after 20 min of searching they finally found it and told me it was 1500, well that sounded more like it i told them nevermind, how much are the oem bumpers, they gave me the price and told me they actually had one in stock, i asked the manager if it would fit in my car. he looked at me and asked... what..kind of car do you have..?

It's part of their system. It's not like you're negotiating with one guy, then another. They do it that way to prolong the process, make you spend hours there so you'll give in from fatigue. When the salesman goes to talk to the manager, they spend half an hour or so discussing the latest football or baseball game, then just resume the script.

My issue was that the sales guy at Honda made me believe that he and I were doing the deal. At VW, the manager stuff never happened. I made the deal with the sales guy and that was it. Now, he obviously went to tell his manager about finalizing, but never did I see the manager once or did the deal change.
