WOW pricing for a used RX-8 went up!
This is great news IMO, i was car searching for my mom on the internet and in my area and outside a 50 mile radius, i noticed many RX-8 are now in the mid 20's being sold used. Funny 4 months ago i searched for a used 05 RX-8 just to see what a used one would go for, i was really shock when i seen most low milage RX-8's (under 20k mile) were hovering in the high teens! OUCH!
Searched last night and for an 05 under the 20k mile mark, the majority are now selling in the mid to high 20k mark, at least here in my area .The majority of 04's i saw were in the low 20's , one or two were in the teens.
Wondering what caused the market to change????

I'm noticing that lately when people are selling them they are saying they have a DVD player, TV screen or TV ready, and then their navigation is listed separately. I don't know if they are that dumb that they don't know they can't watch movies in the car, are trying to be misleading, or put a lot of work into making it movie capable.

Guess that's where it pays to have a friend who owns a used car dealership. I went down to the big auction down in Orlando and picked up my '04 yellow GT for significantly less than the AutoTrader prices.
I'm new by the way--hello everybody!

I am not surprised by the increase in price - rather expected it, but not so early - this is going to be a classic car! You can tell by how people react to it now, and how they react if you have one parked near a car show - Red and White chevys, port hole Buicks, those yellow Cadillac muscle cars (now worth over a million), some mustangs, any Corvette - these can develop a value beyond the original sticker price. This is the one car you will want to keep for 20 years!

which market are you in? maybe I should advertise in your area. from what I've seen, the resale value of the RX-8 is still in the crapper. as caranddriver said, asking price and selling price are totally different things. who knows how much they are really selling for...
