How old are you? And was the accident your fault?
If it was your fault, your insurance rate is going to go sky high. Unless you have money to spend for the next few years, get something that will have lower insurance rates and it's not going to be a Civic Si, WRX, etc.

A Valid One?
What kind of a retarded question is that? His 8 is gone and he wants to move on to another car. Sorry if he doesn't feel like being married to an 8 his entire life, and wtf is wrong with a tc or a camaro? or is this the part you tell me scion makes horrible cars and camaro can only go straight fast?
Here's what's wrong with the cars:
tC:
Front Wheel Drive is Front Wheel Drive and will never be anything else. I raced a street tire integra with coilovers and all sorts of comptech goodies on it...it could corner faster than my RX8 can for sure.... But it was FWD and thus had the dynamics of a FWD car. If that doesn't bother you...great...if it does...look elsewhere. A fat chick in a party hat is still a fat chick.
It has all the soul of every modern Toyota. In other words, none. It's based on a platforms that was designed for sedans and station wagons in Europe.
It does look sharp and will hopefully have that wonderful Toyota reliability...so if that's what the OP is looking for, then it's a great buy. But I wouldn't really consider it to be a driver's car.

- Bus driver wheel
- Bad pedal placement
- It weighs two tons
- Understeer stock
- fit and finish
- insurance
- it is a big, huge car
BTW thanks for the flame, retard.

well im farly sure it was my fault but I'm not sure what exactly happened like I said before I don't remember driving the 300ft before there were signs I went off the road and I wasn't drinking or on any thing. I was defiantly speeding because I went through a telephone pole and from the dints on my car if flipped end over end. The highway patrol that show up said that its fairly common to not remember a what happened prior to the wreck and i may remember in a few days but so far all I remembered was the song i was listening to before it happened

best idea yet!
On second thought after reading this:
Get a moped! At least that way you won't kill anyone else the next time you wreck a vehicle. The MS6 is a fast car and apparently you are not ready to drive a fast car.

That said, your mom is 100% right on this one. If you don't have enough situational awareness to know how fast you were going ("at least 80"? Really?) when you careened off of a road (baring a medical problem) in a ~3000 pound vehicle, ran into a telephone pole, and flipped over before coming to a stop 200 feet away, you probably should not be driving a car that is capable of hitting the speeds that the RX8 is able to.
Thank your lucky stars you walked away without any injuries (I sure did, and I wasn't even in the accident!) and without hurting anyone else, work on becoming a better (read: more aware) driver, and upgrade to another RX8 when you are mature enough to handle the responsibility that comes with driving a sports car as a young adult.
Best of luck in your search, and I really don't mean to flame. This is just honestly how I would look at the situation if I was in your shoes.

I agree with OP taking responsibility. As far as what to get next. I would wait a bit if you can. Drive the Stealth. Once the new Ft-86 comes out, and we know pricing you might have something worth driving on your hands.
Also, you definitely want to get interested in finding out why you blacked out in the first place. If you know why and just aren't saying (smart) then don't do it again, if you honestly don't know, this can become a huge issue that you need to be aware of ASAP. Get some medical tests done.
Good Luck.

Damn, I would have suggested a G/Z for $15,000 05-earlier, lol.... Anyways, since you have considered the type of responsibility that is needed in any "fast car", then take some more time and think about what exactly happened that caused this. Regardless of what car stands before you next, there is always a risk. I'd give it some thought. I agree with the very few post before me.

I some what agree with you guys on the fast car thing and the responsibility involved but I also disagree for 2 reasons:
the first being by saying I shouldn't get another fast car because i crashed mine and I don't have what it takes to drive one. you guys are pushing some of the blame on the car when there is no blame to be put on it i could have been driving a smart car and still wrecked it in the same place.
The second my car having the ability to go fast so i would think that it would have to have more safety features Vs. one that cant go as fast I'm not sure about that but it seems logical to me. so imagine if i had been driving a smart car and ran in to a telephone pole at 80mph think I would have made it?
I'm not saying that because I'm planning on going out and getting another fast car Im going to get a car that i like because I don't want to be stuck driving a car that I hate every day. Im open to any car i can afford thats why I'm asking i don't really have an exact thing I'm looking for so there are a ton of cars to choose from and you guys are giving me a place to start looking

I've been waiting waiting to post until i heard the story. If I were you, I would worry about what happened and how you can prevent it, not about what car is next. It's been 13 years and 1 week since i totaled my my first car at 17, and i remember every instant and detail about that accident. If you know why you blacked out and aren't telling us, keep it that way. If you don't know why, and the events don't come to memory soon, be sure to be checked out. You're extremely lucky to be alive, and I applaud the fact that you are taking responsibility for what happened. Whatever you get next should come with some serious thought about how you drive it. No one was hurt luckily, but you have to think about more than that. Any accident effects more than just those involved. Think of your parents and how it probably scared the life out of them. They are more than likely paying the price especially if they pay for the car and insurance. What if next time someone else is involved? Their families are effected as well. I know first-hand what happens to the other people involved and even though everyone is fine now, I still think about them to this day and wish them well. Please take a step back and look at what happened, how it happened, and how it effected everyone around you before you buy another car and go tearing down the road.
Best of luck to you kid! Again, I applaud your honesty and the fact that you've taken responsibility. Please don't take my post as a dig at you or judgement. I'm just offering some advice from someone who's been there. I'm hopping off my soap box now.
Cheers and happy holidays.
