W'sup with Toyota and Mitsubishi

ya Quicklude, i'm familiar (a little bit) of the reliability of Toyota's engines (ALL of them, even the F1's aren't too bad either although you can BARELY call it a Toyota engine... they just pay the guy who designs them for him, it doesn't really follow any of the design philosophies that permiate the company or anything... )
however, i doubt you would contest that a high-strung twin-turboed engine would be as insensitive to poor care as a run-of-the-mill, low revving V8...
btw, Grimace, is that your buddy's "new" Celica Supra there?? nice
oh, and hey!! how could you possibly like that better than the FC???
just kiddin'

No, that's not the one we found under the junk. (I don't have a digital camera.) The one we found wasn't quite that nice! It had a light blue-silver paint that was worn off in places to the metal. We think its because the sheet that was covering wasn't snug and kept rubbing against it or something? The garage is drafty.
I don't like Celica Supra's better than FC's. Heck, I owned an FC! I just said the Supra was one of my favourites. I have several.

thanks for the corrections grimace. i knew i was going to be wrong somewhere in my post. iwas to into muscle cars at the time to really keep up with what was going on with the japanese cars at hte time. if i had tried my freinds probably would have kicked my *** for liking foreign cars.

No, I mean 80's and 90's. I grew up in a small town, where driving a foreign car (and liking them) was intolerable by a small percentage of the population <cough cough hicks cough>.
You were a king if you drove an older Camaro with louvers, or a Mustang, or even a Cavalier Z24... No replacement for displacement, even if its choked to death with smog gear.

yeah i graduated high school in '86. all my freinds drove old late 60's early 70's chevelle ss's, camaro's, firebird's, mustangs and such. one freind had a 70 or 71 dodge charger with a 440 six-pack. that thing was quick but heavy. i had a 76' monte carlo with a moon roof(always leaked) and swivel buckets with a 350 4barrel. i really liked that car!
