Yay for yellow's visibility..

I've had my yellow for a month now( done 1800 miles ). In the few times I have driven it it, being a new car it draws idiots who while doing their thing of ooglin it try desperatly to crash into it. Luckily most seem to wake up before meeting their objective.

This car draws people like a freaking magnet. I swear I haven't had so many people talk about it walk around and drift into my lane pass me then slow down or carry on a 15 minute converation with me at the gas pump. There's been several time where i've gotten pissed enought from passing cars observing or whatever that i've just gunned it on the interstate and took it to 120-130 for a bit and left everyone behind so I didn't have to deal with them.

Don't get me wrong either I've had my close calls with the new car and getting used to it too. It stops FAST.. too fast for other cars. A Hyundai Santa Fe would have ate me rearend if I hadn;t moved up real fast at a red light.. I stopped for a red fast.. he was taling me and there was no way they were stopping so i jumped 20 ft forward in first and he just missed me. A couple of other times I've pulled out or backed out in front of a car because I'm not use to the longer front end and not being able to see as well with the large rear blind spot and the other have avoided me.

I'm glad I got a yellow so far... I'm almost certain the color has saved my *** a few times.. I'm also certain that I'm the only one for 200 miles and soon every will know it too. That means I have to be extra careful.

Hey, I'm jealous. My 8 gets its share of attention (red doesn't hurt) but you seem to be in some kind of parallel universe. Be careful out there.

its not just the color (although brighter colors do stand out more), it the car itself. i let bro-in-law drive it and he said he felt like a celebrity because everyone was looking. i, on the other hand, dont really care for the attention. i just like to drive the car.

Here in Chicago the car rarely gets a second glance. My 930 on the other hand, I park it and a crowd gathers around. Who knows ....

Yellow is the coolest - or the hottest, pick your poison.

How old is your son? That's MY son's line! He's 13 and a 7th grader!

Plus I have 9 year old 4th grade twins boys, who also like the Rock Star feel.

You must not drive anywhere I drive in Chicago, where mine gets checked out all the time, both suburan and downtown.

I just swapped into a yellow and I actually feel safer in this color because there's less of a chance that morons waiting at intersections or corners will turn into the street and hit me.

On the other hand I've got to get 15% tints as soon as possible - maybe even 5% because I'm tired of everyone gawking at me. My face ain't that pretty to look at. You know it was never like this with the Titanium Gray - in that color I just blended in - but this one is relentless when it comes to attention.

Dunno, I drive everywhere. I have a 45 minute commute. Maybe I just stopped paying attention to others paying attention.
Although the girls in Starbucks did say everyone that works there is jeolous of my car.<shrugs>

I have to say I do hate one thing, and thats when people start chaseing me down. it's not like the car has extra hp just because of the color gee!!! :p

I'm in florida ( Melbourne/ Palm Bay ) but I pretty much ride everywhere from Titusville to Port St. Lucie. I have a good 250 mile home range.

my only gripe is that I'm constantly cleaning her. bugs off he front and dirt/grime off the wheels and rear.

My other car is silver and I've NEVER washed it in 4 years. you can't tell it's dirty except the bugs on front.. which grow right back. Now I just leave em on.
