yello people
Yello people, new on here, im looking for an rx8, not sure what model to go for so need a bit of advice!!! Are they reliable is the first question? I have roughly 5k to spend so if anyone is interested in selling send me a pm, cheers dean

The car can be reliable. It does require more maintenance and attention vs. a Honda or Toyota.
Plugs and coils need to be changed more frequently and you need to keep a close eye on your oil consumption. (Check the oil at each fuel up... more than likely add oil at every other fuel up.)
The RX8 depreciates hard, but 5k isn't going to get you a decent RX8.
In terms of what model? I'd make sure you get a sport model with a 6 speed manual trans. Better brakes and suspension components and some of the early autos were only 4 port and made less power.

troll? $5k and you're asking what to look out for? for that kind of money you'll be lucky to get an '04 with a clean title much less needing to worry about compression testing or anything else. if it were still 4/1 i'd think this thread was an april fool's joke.
