Yep, I'm a Dork

I've never had a personalized plate. I've always thought them to be a bit indulgent. But when I got my 2008 Miata I thought it might be cool. I tried to get ZMZMZM (obviously an homage to Mazda's old ad campaign) but it was unavailable. So I quietly put it away. Then I got the 8 and the notion of getting a vanity plate popped up again. ZMZMZM was still unavailable and I couldn't think of anything else so I resigned myself to just sticking with my regular plate when it hit me.

Nothing wrong with an appropriate vanity plate - on an appropriate vehicle. I never had one before, but for Zoomy I sprang the extra $10 for ZOOM-X8.

I knew I did the right thing when a teenager in my circle of buddies saw it and blurted out how cool it was.

I produce techno, I'm sure you've heard the rappers yap about the 808. Well the tb 303 and tr 606 are the most used electronic group sets ever used. Granted I am in Detroit alot and lots know what it means.
