Yesss!!! I Got My 04 Rx8 2day From The Dealer-in Love!!

Well i finally got it from the dealer, i did the deal sat eve but told the dealer i wanted new tires on it so they had to be ordered, well they arrived this morn and i went down around noon to pick my baby up, what a sweet sweet ride/drive it has and its power kicks in at 4k rpm and from there move outta the way, i was totally amazed that that little 1300cc motor can do what it does , i mean i was running 65mph and punced it and the next thing i new i was doing 118mph and climbing very fast but i let loose the throttle.
Im so serious that this car drives and rides better than any other car i have ever owned or driven and ive driven many from lambos, porches even rolls royces.

Im at my parents home in tn at the moment and have been here for the easter holidays but will have to head home tomorrow back to charlotte nc, its a 398 mile one way trip and i cant wait as im gunna love every second of the drive.

Hehe it even had the orig owners manual and even the orig sticker that was on the window of it when it was new and it was orig bought in ohio.
Its base price on the sticker was 25k and some change but has options including elect sun roof pwr seats bose am/fm 6disc cd player that is so clean even wide open. and seveal other options bringing its sticker price to $29,934.
The car is in mint shape and was orig bought by a lady in her late 40,s so i am the 2nd owner and best of all it has only 19,340 miles on it.

Anyway after i bought this car saturday i found this site and have spent prolly at least 20 hours reading and reading and reading so im am pretty much up on what to watch out for and to expect as ive already bought my qaurt of oil to keep in the trunk hehe.

I want to thank all who are here and youre post as it makes me feel that i will know what to do if something happens however one thing i have searched here for and have not been able to find is what to do if i flood it,,, however if i do it wont be on purpose as i will let it idle at least 10 min to warm up before shutting it off on cool days.

Are you going to make that trip every 3K miles for the warranty? If its even one mile over the 3K think they will honor the warranty?

Congratulations and I hope you don't run into any problems, the 04's seem to have some issues but then others have gone 150k without problems. I hope you have the latter and this doesn't sway your enthusiasm for this wonderful machine. Nice write up.

that warranty is really something.. how do they diagnose its specifically an engine problem when it can be a myriad of other things.. do they charge you to diagnose the car beforehand with the labor involved? you sure the fine print doesn't say something like "excludes rotary engines."
