You know you love your car when...
...You're driving down the street and you see a car coming in the opposite direction that catches your eye, and then you realize... It's the exact same thing as yours! Seriously, it happened yesterday... Guess I haven't had my car long enough for it to wear off yet (if it does).
Also, pulled up to a stop light right outside of work today, along side another RX8 (a rarity in Vegas for two in a row). Anyway, they were making a left turn and my light was still red when I realized just how different the car sounds from others with its raspy motor and exhaust. I actually had to turn my stereo down as my light turned green to hear if mine was on par... A bit muted still from the cockpit, but yep, sort of like an electric car on steroids.

I know what you mean. I've only seen two other 8s since I bought mine a couple weeks ago. It's definitely a special car.
I also like listening to the sound of the car. The "whine" is unique, which is particularly cool coupled with the low growl.
As for "repost," I looked through "The Bark's" posts and didn't see another reference to this story. So, he certainly wasn't reposting anything he has previously said. And, he didn't ask people to post why they love their cars; he simply related why he loves his.

You know you're obsessed when you don't mind traffic congestion on the freeway since it means the risk of someone throwing a pebble into your path and marring your finish is reduced.

- When you are counting the days of ownership (5 for me)
- When you replace the screen on your mobile phone and PDA with pictures of your car
- When you only turn the radio on while driving in 6th on the highway, because otherwise you'll miss all the engine sounds, then go back out after you get the kids to bed, sit in your car and play with the satellite radio
-When you can't wait to leave for work just to drive it, then sit in the parking lot when you get there - ending up late.
Just a few from a completely smitten newbie.
