I don't understand why people are so **** about people owning RX8s when "they shouldn't be driving them". I.E. I've seen many people complain about new drivers taking the 8 out, or people that drive an AT. Well truth behold, I'm 17 and my first car was an 04 AT RX8. I don't see any need for people to get bashed for this; IMO the rx8 is a great first car, its sporty but not huge low end torque like an eight, its looks are appealing, and all the chicks love it. I do not race cars, so why should I get a Manual? I know how to drive stick perfectly well, but living in Downtown Houston driving 10 miles in nonstop traffic to school, and another 15 or so to work, I don't have much of a choice.

I wish I knew why people are so rude about the 8s and how some people drive them.

you shouldn't own an 8 if you can't take criticism, ESPECIALLY over the internet. You will inevitably come face to face with it because of this car on more than one occasion. You shouldn't own an 8 if your feelings get hurt easily. If you like your car who gives a sh*t what anyone else does? This thread is useless.

 

fo shiznizzle! just be glad people like you and i are priviledged to own one. i just turned 18 and got an 04 RX8 GT, given that it's a manual, not many people have them........period. just don't listen to other people talk their crap. 9 times outta 10 they're just jealous. crap happens to me a lot at my school, but whatev.

heh, if i want to make people jealous... i'd just roll around in my 08 saturn sky redline. in 3 years i just plan to pay my dad's residual on the lease. even if it is unreliable....

 

the only people you'll make jealous are 50+ year old men in one of those.

 

i'll admit it, i'm not a fan at all of the Sky. i like the back of them, but the front is kinda ugly. i'm not into the roadster look tho. fast tho

well also ever since i got the 8, tho i've only had it a month, it's the best car i've ever driven, even better than my dad's 69 Vette Stingray. talk about a machine, man that is one beast of a car. which is why i like the 8, b/c the front reminds me of a Stingray with the humps over the wheels

 

i disagree...yeah it makes you look twice but then you see the saturn logo and your like "oh...its just a saturn"......if i bought a roadster it would be an s2k....
