What? No Green? You poor, poor Canucks.
It seems you all get shafted in several areas with this car.

Nope, only 6 available colours. But I am shocked that the titanium grey is running first.

Mine is silver, mainly because that was the only one I could find in town with close to the right options, that wasn't already spoken for. (No custom orders in Canada!) If the only available 6sp GT had been yellow I would have been very sad.

 

I am just thinking that the Lightning Yellow might just be a showy colour that the younger generation might prefer, and that is why it is coming in last.

Would the yellow hurt the re-sale?

 

So where is the white available, Japan? As far as yellow hurting resale value yes and no. You should still be able to get what the car is worth, but finding a buyer for it would be more difficult. For instance with the WRX when the 03s were out or damn close to it all you could find was the yellow and red. There seem to still be a few yellow and red ones floating around that the dealer is discounting heavily. I will never own a yellow car, unless for some reason I win the lottery and my dream exotic is only available in yellow :D

How did I know Titanium was out in front?
It's such a nice color. That was my first choice, but i got black instaed. i love it just the same!

 

Well, one of those three (currently) votes is mine, and I am 47. I DO "think" young, however..........

I think it won't hurt the resale - it can be billed as a "rare" yellow color <smirk>.

 

Yellow will narrow down the potenital buyers out there BIG TIME when come times to sell it.

I think yellow suits the Rx8 well. I would never buy it off the start. But now that I got it . I think the yellow and red are my top picks. Any sports car looks great in yellow and red.

Don't get me wrong . I think all the colours look great on the 8.

I just perfer these too. I don't see myself having a problem selling it down the road. only 600-700 were made for canada this year. The demand will be high for any colour because the market is not saturated with them.

Not necessarily. Part of the problem for me is that some colors only have the all-black interior. If yelow came with black/yellow seats I'd be there. I like the red interior but think it looks best on either the red or black car. don't want a black car (too hard to keep looking nice) and red cars aren't my favorite. I'd consider the blue if it had 2-tone option. As it is I'm leaning towards titanium with black/tan. What I really want is white with all-red interior. ah well...

I just had to dig up and vote on this thread - since it has yellow!

 

As far as i know yellow may be discontinued as a colour , mazda did the same with the 1993 rx7 as soon as the yellow was discontinued the demand went sky high , i believe the same will happen to the rx8 .
