It's a pretty slow congested town so I wouldn't say things are too spirited around here. I'd say more idling in traffic or traffic lights. But yeah, it's city driving.

I just shat myself
On the highway going around 80-90 I'll get around 20mpg, 60-70 about 24, and in town it's around 15 or less. I've got reasonably fresh coils/plugs with a K&N drop in filter.

ha honestly, mpg is something I've learned to get over. Yeah it might get pricey and suck, but honestly, paying a little bit of more money then normal for gas is worth it when you're in an 8. Driving my rx-8 is the most enjoyable part of my day, I try to find the longest route with the most turns, curves, and straight aways. Enjoy your car for what it's good at and not its negative points.
I'm getting 13.4 mpg

Seems that every tank I average 16-17 miles per gallon, and it's mostly highway driving (70-80 miles/hour). Several things to consider though, especially warming the car up for a few minutes in the morning prior to going to work. In the summer I seem to get 18-19 miles per gallon.

Even with supercharging it I get anywhere from 14 to 16 in the city and around 18/19 on the highway. I also tend to like hearing the s/c at 8k if you know what I mean. I prob lost 2 or 3 mpg with the s/c but I think that is mainly due to a change in driving habits.

ugg as much as i hate these mpg threads at least i get to crow about this- my last tank i made 18.03 mpg and i havent driven any highway miles on that tank at all
im pretty proud actually. I had noticed awhile ago my mileage was slipping but i chalked that up to really not watching my shifts and the winter gas. I had a highway trip that was only 21 down from my normal 23-24.xx
then i realized i hadnt cleaned my air filter in a year.
so after the air filter cleaning, still on winter gas, watching my shifts but still no highway time im back up to 18 from a dismal 14 and slightly lower around town for awhile.

ppl either neutral coast or downshift
and i've heard of staying in the 3-5k range for better mpg.
right now i'm coasting to all lights avoiding dead stops, and shifting at 4k till warm up, then 5k after that and cruise under3k barely i think i managed 240 miles before my last fill up.

I got 260 out of my last tank. That was with the gas light on and sweat on my face. Most of the time about 18 mpg. I guess if I did 60 on the highway instead of 75-80 it would be better. Thats with the original plugs, coils, and wires. With 33k on the car. I am doing the ignition system soon. Just did the front brakes. Very easy.

The key is to never look at the cost of a fillup. As Han Solo said, "Never tell me the odds."
During a road trip, I filled the tank and calculated mpg. My passenger asked how much the gas cost. He was really amused when I explained that I NEVER look at the dollars part of the receipt, just the gallons.

This is normal if you drive it right and are mostly street driving. If I drive to L.A., I get 300 to a tank.

you say "barely" well at the normal 13.5 gallon fillup thats 17.7 mpg right where you should be
my last half tank was 110 miles and 6 gallons so that pretty much the same as your figure

New Shell Gas, 2nd tank 134.6 miles before my Idiot light(gas light ) went on. Im going back to Hess and Mobile. Atleast with there gas I get 170 -180 miles before I need to fill up. Anyone in MA have a rotary compression tester? I have a Case of beer and/or money if we could give my car a quick test.
