2007 RX-8 Confirmed Changes
From Mazda USA Media
RX-8
The Mazda RX-8 redefined the sports car segment when it was launched in summer 2003, and it continues to shake up the automotive world’s definition of what a sports car can be. With an exterior suggesting athletic tension, a unique twin-rotor RENESIS rotary engine and an interior offering comfort and practicality, the 2007 Mazda RX-8 continues to be a cutting-edge sports car, as well as the only mass-produced rotary-powered car in the world.
RX-8’s unique, athletically sculpted styling features freestyle doors and enough passenger room for four full-size adults. For 2006, six-speed Sport A/T automatic transmission-equipped cars received a power boost to 212-hp through the use of a similar six-port intake system as used on manual transmission-equipped cars. The 238-hp 6MT cars come with standard 18-inch wheels. Both vehicles are fitted with power windows, mirrors and door locks, cruise control and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system. For 2007, RX-8 adds minor enhancements including two new colors.
Enhancements for the 2007 RX-8 include:
6-disc CD changer is now standard on Touring and Grand Touring models
Sand leather-trimmed seats available on the Grand Touring model
New exterior colors – Crystal White Pearl and Stormy Blue Mica

i have a white water pearl and i wonder how much of a difference is the new crystal white pearl? i think the sand interior will look really nice with the 8. but then i cant believe they still didnt do any engine improvements.... but anyways im thinking about changing my interior to something like beige or sand.

Only changes i can see is much lower sales of the 2007 RX8 and a flooded market with people tryng to get out of their cars at reduced resale value
Mazda has been way too slow with addressing the quirks of the RX8 .
Unless they upgrade the RX8 WITH OTHER THAN COSMETICK TRIMMINGS THEY WILL HAVE ROTARY BUYERS MOVING ON TOO OTHER CARS .

Woo HOO! Let's hear it for another year of the same ol same ol ish!!
Are they trying to milk the current RX-8 for all she's got. Wow 2 new colors! Now since when did anybody complain to Mazda about the current or lack of color choices?!
Mazda is really testing everybody's patience here. Let's hear it for another 1.5 years of waiting.... for nothing...

Well, I have put 50,000 smiles on my 8, no complaints here! I think this is an incredible car, and it amazes me to hear so many complaints. Get off the internet, go find a curvy road, and re-introduce yourself to the reason you bought an 8!

i own an 05' and i bought RIGHT as the 06's were fixing to hit. I didnt even consider an 06 because the only changes were cosmetic (and no power bumps for the 06 MT GT)
If the 07's are the same way (hey lets just make a new color and call it a day) I shall solidify my plans to boost within 6 months and as soon as a "badass" kit comes out (besides the greddy)

Hey… why mess with perfection?
Seriously though, I'm glad there's no changes. One of the things I always liked about Miatas (and VW Beetles when I was a kid) was how they hardly changed from year to year—a '90 Miata looked as up-to-date as a '96. Whenever you see your car, you don't feel like it's getting old because it looks exactly like a new one.

Guys, I love my 8....tons, but come on Mazda seems to be asleep at the wheel. What car comes out and changes hardly anything in 4 years? More colors....I mean COME ON man, dang it.
If they want to do cosmetic stuff, take out their intrusive freaken radio.

This is good news, my car is still up-to-date. As long as the Mazdaspeed 8 doesn't show up, I'm still good. I don't want to be the "oh, there's a Mazdaspeed wannabe" guy on the road. Everyone's gonna start calling me a ricer with my MS body kit.
