actually the car does have some new features...

"produces large amounts of rushing speed and fat torque for the ultimate sports car performance"

sounds like it was translated from japanese. what the hell does that even mean? i didn't realize torque could be obese...stupid mazda. come out with something new already. or at least refreshed.

November/December 07 is the production cycle for the Anniversary Model.

Then no more production till April 2008 for the 'new' re-freshed RX-8.

So for the US this would then be legitimately called the 2009 MY RX-8.

Does that sound about right Zoom44

Look at the front! It's been face lifted! Notice the airdam? It looks a bit different

That's how i heard it too. 40th anniv. ordering for production is already closed I think. For the '09s, just like in '03, when the '04s were produced whenever and delivered in July 03.

So what, we get new rims and a polished fuel door? I got those for my 8 anyways.

Yay for the Nth rendition of the same RX-8.

polished fuel doors on the 8 look terrible. Worse than strakes. At least it does not have chrome door handles.

No, it's just the european version which has always looked like that: the opening behind the bumper is squared off by black plastic pieces. Funny they would put the side flares on but not the rest of the appearance package.

It is the UK limited series (Brands Hatch Raceway, UK), and it is not the new 8

mazda is building the face lifted RX8 in 2008, but it's not going to be released as a 2008 model. So some people have the misconception that we're going to see the update in the upcoming 2008 car, when it's not for another year.

^ That's what I'm reading as well. My guess is that Mazda will keep it under a tiht wrap until it's release to prevent it from tanking current 8 sales any more than it has already.

it's ****** hideous. they just keep making the car look worse and worse. can you please please get rid of that -45409192384 offset. jesus. all they have to do..is 3 things just three.

1. lower the offset widen the rims.
2. slightly bigger exhaust tips.
3. some tires that say "I like fast" christ mazda..is it that hard.

you put a biggass decal on there, but you cant do that which will raise sales??

I knew it! More new stickers for RX-8 while the rest of Mazda's line-up get real upgrades.
Also standard headlight washers for US market.

yep 2009. then they can call it a 2009 all the way from april 2008 till fall of 2009. gives them and extended run of that model year

yeah people always get confused by that. when mazda says "year x" they mean in that actual year not the model year. got me when waiting to order they said " RX-8 in 2003" which i assumed meant model year 2003. what they meant was actually in 2003 so i had to wait about 5 months longer to order than i expected.
