All wanting rear fog light...

I read this in AutoWeek. Take a look at what the mini owners have done.

http://www.petitiononline.com/MINIfogs

729 signers got this feature added to all new and existing U.S. minis.

Yes, I would sign-up in a heartbeat. West coast SF/Pacifica tully fog can get ugly out here at times! Safety first, looks second.

I'd much rather make a petition to have the 6 cd changer standard in all cars; it's obscene to not have one in a car that's in its class when ALL others do.

yeh i doubt 729 ppl will get they to actually add rear fog light.

I thought i read somewhere that they sold 50% more mini than they expected, and they are aimming for selling 20,000 more units next year.

729 ppl are nothing

Don't worry. There is bound to be an aftermarket version. Hopefully at a reasonable price.

In the case of the MINI the fog light was physically installed on the car and wired into the electrical loom, but BMW never put a switch on the dashboard to activate it. I would be pretty annoyed to be so close to having it working but not quite.

In Mazda's case they are giving us nothing, which in my opinion is easier to excuse.

But do we think the wiring will be inplace, just nothing connected to it? Honda always seemed to have the wiring installed for many things, even if you didn't order the option.

Honda are a little weird when it comes to Fog lights, here in the UK the Fog light is a legal requirement, so most cars sold here are pre wired to accept the fitting, in honda's case they came up with a standard fitment to suit preludes and I think accords

(I know cause I had one fitted to my imported Mazda MX-6, as they are much better looking than off the shelf after market mods)

glad to see that for the UK model mazda havce actually thought about it in advance and given us a designed feature rather than the usual after thought we get from most non UK manufacturers.
