umm, the rotors don't spin upwards 6000 rpms or anywhere near it.... not sure the guy knows much about rotarys.... but at least he loves em.

If you are reffering to the author of this article heres what he said ........it helps if you read it correctly

"An engine like no other
Get the Renesis engine spinning its rotors past about 6000 RPM, and its silky hum escalates into a smooth, siren-like wail. Power is delivered linearly between just off idle and just under the 9000 RPM 'shift-me-please' beeper. "

I read that the same as Raspy. It sounds like he's saying the rotors are spinning at anything around 6000 RPMs, which is not true. The rotor spins 1 time for each eccentric shaft spinning 3 times. The RPMs are measured by the eccentric shaft.

I don't blame the guy, it's a very common misconception.

Yep, at the 9k tac redline (as eccentric shaft measured) the rotors are only spinning at 3k.

Just another high reliability aspect of our rotary engines.

I know the guy who wrote that article, he is a regular on our local auto enthusiast forum, and at the weekly meets. I wish I had his job...

I've met him in person as well, he's a really good guy.
