Who needs to buy mags when Oilman is about?
Cheers, saved me the trouble of going to the shops to scan the shelves again. (although I must admit to getting a few of them such a TopGear, auto express etc.)
Think I'll save a bit every month from not buying mags and be able to afford 1 of the fins! :D

And later on in that same mag (which I just rcvd in the mail today), page 158 has another writeup of the 8 under the 'Newcomers' section. For the most part it praises the RX-8 for the now usual items, such as handling, rotary smoothness, etc...
But, and interesting line came forth as I was reading through the article...and I quote:
"The chance to strafe 9000rpm in absolute smoothness sounds good, but there's so little torque that to make decent progress you have to use every last rev, every second of the day. Inistance: at 100mph on an autostrada, an X5 diesal was pulling ahead until I shifted down two gears. And is this really 228bhp? The performance doesn't feel all there."
I know this whole "where's the horsepower?" thing is on a different thread, but it was interesting to see it appear in mag during a review....seems like really bad press to de-tune the engine especially when you are trying to get this car out to market and sell 30k/year and you know everyone and their mother is going to critic the car in every mag out their.
