The government has 1 primary source of income: taxes. So, when the government says "we're going to take care of all of this." They're going to use tax dollars to fund it with a little help from China. . .
Point is that we're (as tax payers) going to pay for the program, one way or another. Taxing the "wealthy" isn't a great solution either, because the wealthy influence business growth, without the wealthy taking risks and investing in either their own company or other companies, those companies won't grow and the their will be fewer jobs and you'll see unemployment sky-rocket. . . eerie, isn't it?
But, government run programs are appealing to people because they don't want to sort it out for themselves, purchasing health insurance as an individual isn't that difficult. My company cut my healthcare recently, and I'm still paying way more per month for the sports car than I am for health insurance. Its a matter of choice. How many people have huge cell phone plans and cable TV, but no health insurance? Priorities are a bitch.
This is the part that scares me. . . imagine your states BMV or DMV, government run office and agency. Now, imagine that same level of customer service from health care, social security/retirement, and your local Chevy dealership. . .
Really, I am just upset that our beloved mazdas (i have an '04) and it is now a "clunker" in the eyes of the government. Ohio gas prices today. 2.32/gallon, so 2.52/gallon for premium. I budgeted for 4.00/gallon when I bought the car. I'll be driving for awhile then.
Sorry about the rant. Again, nothing partisan was said, no direct attacks, etc...
One more thing:
I think the pleural form of Prius is Priui (pree-I), but then again, I thought the same for focuses = Foci, which apparently isn't true when you're talking about fords and not graphs.

That's because the plural of a proper noun (like a brand name) is not treated the same. To do so would actually change the brand, so you merely add "s" or "es".

Speaker Nancy uses military planes for her weekly crosscountry comute. She claims she would be happy with a 20 seater but has used a 200 seater. She does not like wasting time refueling and demands to use planes to can fly cross country nonstop.
