not too bad...he definitely focused on the faults though, sheesh, buzzing noise? bring it to the dealer stop whining

nice quote though "Still a striking shape after all these months — kind of like a killer-red anime superhero-robot"

shelley's man will like that line

How dare they find fault with the RX-8! It's perfect, and anyone who says otherwise must have been dropped on their head.

Seriously though, their worst fuel economy was 16.4? Lucky dogs!

Nothing said in the review is inconsistent with my 11,000 miles except the comments on a daily driver, I only drive about 5 miles to work each day and wish it was 50. If I wanted an Accord I would have bought an Accord.

Not fixing a buzzing mirror though is just stupid. Not adding convex mirrors on both sides and complaining about vision is also stupid. Not having to worry about what Edmunds say because I don't plan on selling any time soon is -- priceless.

Seems like a balanced review. I'm glad I don't have that buzz in my mirror, must be common to the GTs & Tourings that have more gadgets built into the rear view mirror.

I thought it was good review overall. A few negatives but he clearly loved the car.
My mirror has buzzed, but a quick squeeze stops it. The price of gadgetry, I guess.

Ugh, it started out as a decent review, but it ended with "... it's doing a great job being a sports car, but putting up with the commute can be murder."

That's a little harsh - murder??

They listed the Rattling mirror as a "problem", but did not take it to the dealer.
The G35C power window did not work, was taken to the dealer to be fixed, but was NOT listed as a 'problem' What gives with that?

the RX-8 Average Fuel Economy (over the life of the vehicle): 17.3 mpg

the G35C Average Fuel Economy (over the life of the vehicle): 15.6 mpg

I think the update wasted too much on fluff ("... air conditioned garage") and not enough on substantial real world information.

My left sideview mirror has a buzz/rattle that is annoying... if that's what he is referring to. Have to open it up myself to fix it before long.

there was a buzzing noise coming from my rearview mirror, and it stoppped when i removed my sunglasses from the holder up there.

there was also a buzzing noise coming from near my driver side mirror, and it stopped when i took my work badge out of the door cubbie.

There's no buzzing noises coming from your cars, its just the junk we carry that is rattling around.

Can someone remind this guy it's a sports car and the suspension "SHOULD" be firm, not harsh, but firm. The RX8 rides better than most if not all sports cars so I think the guy is just too old for sports cars...he wants complete comfort and the car to drive itself so he can take a nap...LOL

The review was positive but what he did not like was a little overdone. I just got my 8 and my first tank got me 19.73mpg so I'm as happy as a school girl. Keep in mind I am breaking her in and did not take it over 5K while shifting between 3.5-4K normally.

The freakin' rearview mirror rattle/buzz is an issue to the point where my dealer didn't even want to reproduce the sound....he just ordered a replacement mirror.

Why this guy at Edmunds just didn't get it replaced like everyone else does is a bit odd
