GT250 Daytona RX8 wins again
I think this deserve a post itself. 9minute or so of a roaring 3 rotar rx8!

WWW.ROTARYENG.NET GT250 Race at Daytona. The 70 car wins again. Nick Ham and Sylvain Tremblay. The 69 car crashes with Jeff Segal. No beating a high power to weight ratio engine. Light weight is everything in anything that moves. We are just scratching the surface of the potential of the Wankel rotary engine. It could be, combined with a turbine, one of the most efficient internal combustion engines ever.

From what I heard in the vid the 69 was in error. They run multiple classes at the same time and the slower class is supposed to let the faster prototypes run the wall at the exit of a turn.

Is there a reason why the exhaust is at the side of the car?
What does 250 means in GT250? In the motorbike world, that denotes engine capacity. Does it mean 250 laps?

How wrong? From what I understand Rwagz is spot on. The GT cars are supposed to give the GTP's the outside on the banking at Daytona. . . and he should have known the GTP was on his tail by the color of the headlights. I saw this race when it originally broadcasted and I don't think there was any dispute that #69 was in the wrong.
I agree with some of the other comments that the GTP is not entirely blameless, however, in that 1) he should have known the he'd be in a big blind spot for the #69 - he could've waited to make his move once the #69 committed, and 2) he should have let off once contact was made.
