I also bought one several months ago while in Tokyo. I didn't realize that there is an official US distribution channel for the HyperRev series now. But $36 bucks?! Yikes, kind of steep considering I got mine for about $18 (2000 Yen) in Japan.
Anyway, it's not all that different from Vol. 1, just updated with all the latest tuner goodies. There's also a section on the 3 concept cars (sassou, senku, and kabura). Still fun to drool over all the stuff that's out for the car in Japan.

When my wife was in Japan, she got me two (new?) RX-8 books. One was called RX-8 Fun Book and the other was RX-8 Sports Magazine. After comparing to the HyperRev one, they look all the same! (Learning to read Japanese would help alot tho...)

Are these available in english at all anywhere? Is there even a fansub version of these books. I have this feeling there is a wealth of info in there. Especially for us NA people.

The Panspeed has Periphial housings Rene rotors, and ITBs,
Anyway back on track for old thread its about time Vol3 came out Ive had Vol2 for two years now...
There is another magizine which I havent been able to track down,
Its called Master Book RX8 if anyone can help find it that would be greatly appreciated,,,
