Interesting Tidbit on Future RX-8s in Motor Trend
Forgive me if this is a repost; I haven't frequented the Forums the past couples weeks and I ran a search with nothing coming up.
In this month's issue of Motor Trend they covered every 2006 model of car in brief. Of particular note in the 2006 RX-8 (which, as we know as little change) they said....
"... and it continues through the end of 2005 unchanged, though with promises of extensive revisions early in 2006."
So.... anyone wanna take bets on a 2006.5 RX-8 that's somehow managed to slip through the cracks?

You might find some of the extensive revisions here.

Sorry. Looks like the reason I didn't find it was because people were referring to "Motor Trend" as a single world "Motortrend", which was what I searched for.
Though I had known of that thread, I wouldn't call anything in it "extensive". But, I guess if you were an ATX shopper, you'd disagree.

Some of the other car mags say revisions to come in 2007. But it's possible that something could be released mid year in '06, just like the Shinka in '05.
Regardless, I don't think any minor bump in hp (say 10-20 hp) would be enough to make me want to trade. I'm perfectly happy with the car the way it is.
Now if and when they come out with the Mazdaspeed RX-8, that's a different story. I'll be very tempted to trade in for one those if it's done right.

I wish they would offer the Miata's True Red instead of Copper Red on the RX-8. Copper Red doesn't seem that different from Velocity Red. While the color hues are different, both are kind of like a candy apple red.
I'd really like the RX-8 in a non-metallic/mica bright Ferrari like red.
