Mazda December 03 sales
Mazda sales report:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040105/lam084_1.html
Nissan sales report:

Wow! RX-8 sales are just a hair shy of 350Z sales. Quite impressive considering Nissan + Infiniti sells 3x the # of cars in a year compared to Mazda.
However, Mazda's sales for 03 are up only 0.3% vs. 02. Nissan + Infiniti are up 7.4%.
(Disclaimer: I own a 350Z.)

Mazda have had a lot of new models come on stream recently (2,3,6,8). This could have affected their sales as old models will sell slowly as new models aproach.
Dont know about US but Mazda's outlook looks good - a lot of class topping cars and big changes complete on the coporate side giving em better profitability - ford were so impressed with the ceo they stole him for Ford Europe!

AMEN!
The 3 should take off. It could possibly rule it's segment. If only Mazda would control the pricing of some of their product it would do even better. There is no reason why the long in the tooth Miata should start at 22k U.S. dollars ( MNAO that is).
