Mazda to develop rotary hydrogen car
#26
Well, no need to detune a hydrogen powered car because of emmisions.
Hydrogen is a great fuel at point of use, clean burning etc, and its still in a (relativly) early development point (as is the rotary, in dev hours, compared to pistons).
You need electricity to power the production, either by power stations (large single point) which should be able to be kept clean , or local (home solar/wind) but most likely it'll be 'gas' stations.
We have a small shift to LPG in the UK as its not taxed as much as petrol (£0.37 per litre instead of £0.85 - 4ltr = 1 us gal). But the UK .gov makes so much tax from fuel that any new fuel, or even LPG , if it gets to popular will be taxed like petrol (over 80% of pump price is tax).
The UK government will not want to loose that kind of revenue, so any more to hydrogen in the UK will probably be at the gas station , taxed, and some reason or other will be found to stop home production (if possible).
The motorist already funds the UK .gov about £35bn+ a year.

Hydrogen
Only emission from a hydrogen rotary is water and burned oil. The burned oil is the reason that this vehicle cannot qualify as a zero emissions vehicle. Hydrogen is the Future, Ive known about hydrogen rotaries for some time now, i believe they were working on it since 1997. buy stock in mazda now while their stock costs $2.87. if they can get this hydrogen concept solid, they will boom.
