Those fog lights look terrible. Rear is nice, and so is the molded sideskirts. :P

Hood, very nice... maybe it's still avail. for public viewing.

 

Nice find, nice shots is that a Mazdaspeed MX5 behind it with an intake port in the front nose? Also did you happen to find out when and if they are ever releasing this it's kinda sad that the turbo 6 will be more powerful than our 8s.

the 6 is slower I must have read wrong in autoweek then, but I didn't mean when are they releasing the concept I meant when will Mazda release the official Mazdaspeed 8 it is taking them a really long time don't you think?

 

Yeah the article says they supercharged it. Sounds pretty sweet to me.

 

as of right now, there are "NO OFFICIAL" plans to release a MazdaSpeed RX-8. We are all hoping it happens, but there are no concrete plans or release dates available.

the 6 is just coming out and ithe regular 6 has been out at least a year longer than the 8. so IF the 8 is next to ge teh treatment by MS then figure about a year fromt eh release of the Mazdaspeed6

 

Too bad the hood wasn't up...

 

i wanna go down there and steal the hood,front and rear. the hood and front i can handle as ive had them off before - anyone with experience want to help with the rear?

What's the point of this concept if there are "no plans to build it"? I think this bodes well for the future of the 8.

 

Is that a brake light embedded in the rear rotary accent?
What would be the point of putting one there?
Isn't it a bit too low to the ground to be very usefull?

Incredible looking 8 though, I'm still trying to get the drool out of my keyboard.

 

The break light is offered in Euro markets.. part of their fog light thingy... pretty useless here in the US, but looks cool nevertheless.

 

the point is... engineering and design studies. In vehicles like this, different things are tried that might make production at a later date... so maybe not the whole car, but parts and pieces.

I wanna steal the hood ... that hood scope is sweet. I don't care if mine is supercharged as long as I can get that hood. I kinda like the fog lights like that.

 

Looks like a badly modified Rx8, This Rx8 wasnt designed by Mazda. Its a fake Mazdaspeed

look at the rotors, they are the same as the "regular" Rx8

It's a modification by the R&D Engineering teams at MazdaUSA. It's been spotted before and they gave a small interview about it in the past. It's sitting in their Headquarters building right now.

 

M 6 slow? I don't think so..................

Two weeks ago on the track with the Mazda Nascar team, I passed one but two of them were on my *** the whole time.

So I let them pass... They are faster in the straights too.

Actually they pushed me off the track, then I passed them when I was making a grand tour of the infield. (They slowed down. They were keeping an eye on me to make sure I wouldn't hit them).

No need to push beyond your experience. Better to be safe than sorry.
