If cost on brand new models lowers, we all must remember, so does the value of all of our 8's....

I'm against a lower entry price....sorry.

If FoMoCo can use turbo techonology to boost power and fuel economy while using smaller displacement engines why can't Mazda??? How about a 1L rotary turbo??? An engine like that would have the potential for increased fuel economy and torque!!

What about adding another rotor to the 10A. It would be 1.5L 3XR and could be tuned for high RPM and could handle a Turbo or SC 300hp no problem. Then experiment with DI on Getting one fire per rotor for MPG when on the hwy. I think the engine sound at 10K would be SAWEET!

Last week I was buying coils at a local dealer he had 2 MS3s and the window sticker was 22/23k for both, I really like them in person better than thier pictures, I like them in person better than the old MS3, the fenders go a long way to making me forget the hatchback. The 8 needs the 16x gas guzzler tax-be-damned. What would sell to rotor heads and make a genuinely quick car would be the Miata with the 1.3 renesis, maybe a special edition after the 16x is released (or not).

I was gonna get a used car for a commuter w/ 3yr loan but MAY just get a MS3 new instead, I dunno thats alot of hp/tourqe and decent interior/ext style for 22k. For reference Ive never considered a CobaltSS turbo or SRT4 (when new) as a new purchase but the MS3 is a cut above those obviously.

Im not sure I see the point?
Our current engine can handle 300 HP No Problem and is less displacement than that is.

I missed something?

After seven two rotor Mazda's I think I was just dreaming of my first three rotor.

It would be lower in the car, it would rev to a higher rpm, 300+ hp with a turbo or SC would be no problem, Use the DI to get a lot of economy on different firing order on less rotor faces like a piston engine does. They would have to experment....

Yeah but would it get good MPG's? I dont think so, our Renesis can rev to atleast 12K rpms... but anything after 9k you get no power and waste fuel... Why go to 10K if your just wasting fuel and getting no power?
