i just checked for that switch and don't i feel dumb! this whole time (almost 3 months!) i thought the fogs turned on with the headlights using just the headlight part of the ****.

I do have the video itself on VHS, but obviously, the quality isn't great (as seen from these stills)... My wife was watching the Making Of show last night and yelled to me that she saw a glimpse of an RX-8 during the "after the break" preview, so i ran out there, popped in a tape and recorded it... sorry... no TiVo... So all i got is a little bit of the making of (fortunately the car part) and the whole final video... I can try to bring the whole thing into an MPEG, but I'm not sure on how the quality would be, and I don't really have a good place to host it. But if someone is willing to host it up, i'll give it a shot...

 

No matter my regard (or lack thereof) for Britney, this is GREAT exposure for the RX-8. Every little kid and teenage will want one now. For those of us who want the car to sell well and do well, this sure can't hurt.

 

I had three people come up today and tell me that my car was in the new Britney Spears video. I'm so humiliated.

 

I wouldn't be too embarrased... I highly doubt it was brittney's idea to have the car in the video... that deal was probably struck at the producer level... They probably told her about it, and she just kinda went... "OK.. whatever"

Anyways, this is definately the most MAINSTREAM exposure the car has gotten, which is probably because now is the time they are probably going to start trying to ramp up the numbers they are selling... Can't let supply get higher than demand, that causes prices to drop.. :-)

it did have 18's, which i know are available on the low-power but ya never know.

 

Here is a link to a DivX .AVI file of the video, but i don't know how long my bandwidth will last, so if someone can host a mirror of it, that would be GREAT... The quality isn't bad considering I had to clean it up from a really bad VHS recording... you can at least get the jist of it, and you can see that it isn't exactly a GIRLY video...

Why are people embarassed that their car was on TV in music video hit? This is weird. It's like saying I feel embarrased cause I have ferrari, and many movies and music videos have ferrari's. You should be proud of the accomplishments of the rx8, that producers of the video actually chose RX8 over many many other cars to be in the video...
