No RX8 at the Paris Motor Show ?

Actually, according to Mazda, there will be no changes for the 2011 (bummer). See this post I put out there back in early August:

Momentum Keeps Me Going
...as in the rotary is now just a part of history... w/the RX-8 passing without a mention ....like an dumped girlfriend you'd rather not acknowledge exists anymore.

the presence of Cosmo is for confirming the loyalty to rotary IMHO..

..looking at the pics, with the cars shown (new and a bunch of Mazda relics) the rotary Cosmo was shown in an historical perspective only w/no future direction/Hybrid rotary/cutaways, etc. No teasers IOW.

the Cosmo means only "we not leave rotary" IMHO

There may have not been any new rotary car, but did anyone catch the revamped lineup that Lotus will be rolling out over the next few years?
2400lbs 320hp I know it's still a concept, but Damn!

Yea I saw that. Really nice looking, and esp. relative to their current lineup. I've never liked the styling (cross-eyed bugs) and this is a radical and welcome departure. Far more grownup looking, agressive and contemporary.
Moreover, to the original post, the contant intros of new sports cars as of late are getting repetitiously irritating - as the rest of the word seems to be readying legions of hot new sports cars - hybrid/normal/even 4r rotaries FCOL, Mazda's PR voice and development of anything remotely sports car-ish seems to have been completely euthanized.
By the time they wakeup, if they ever do... or perhaps more to the point, if they can actually produce anything significant, the world market will likely be ripe with hot new sports cars of all types... and many potential buyer/past owners long gone.
