Nov 03 Mazda sales

http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/031202/latu099_1.html

Mazda sold 2,087 RX-8s last month in the US. That's pretty impressive (I own a 350ZZ), esp. percentage-wise out of all the cars Mazda sold (19,306).
Nissan for comparison sold 2,143 350Zs last month out of 63,630 (for Nissan + Infiniti). See http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/031202/25745_1.html for details on that.

The Oct to Nov decrease looks interesting:

350Z 2,143 3,755 -40.6 34,604 10,138 242.5

Looks like some of those 1612 lost sales may be partially due to some of those 2087 new RX-8 sales!

You numbers might be off Spin, looks like just the type of drop every carmaker will see for the colder months. Though the Z did have a little bit more a drop.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Z #s dropping compared to last year was due to the initial interest and perhaps pre-orders being delivered back then.

Ever thought Nissan may be supplying less 350Z's because its just launched the car in Europe?

Numbers often mean little without facts...

Was the G35 coupe available with the MT in Nov. last year? I don't think so, so I would imagine that's cut into it a bit as well as the RX-8, STi, EVO, etc... Lot of great cars out there right now if you're a fan of performance cars.

Yes it was....I have one parked right outside, and the owner got it last year, around Oct. It's the 6MT.

They are better industry wide from all accounts I've heard. Thanks S13, that jogged my memory a bit
