He is a rotary God, he also sponsors/races/tunes/etc. a 7 in the Japan GT series in the Gt300 class, awesome car, haven't seen how it's doing lately though.

So they're for sale but nobody on this board has bought/installed it yet? What gives?

When I originaly posted this information. I spoke with RE AMEMIYA's shop.

Supposedly the original incarnation was not stable. In Japan, there are a multitude of PCMs for the JDM RX8.

If they have worked out the kinks or not since then, I do not know.

But, I think they may have made some progress in the two years since I posted this thread....

Which was the one inquired about in my quote. Why would they produce version 2 when version 1 never sold? Bulletproof is the only retailer to have ever offered it, and for a long while it was $6500+. Even at $5800 it's too expensive. $4000, and people might actually buy it.

Version 2 is because of the new e manage they received. I was going to install it on my ride when he advised us to wait until they fully tested the new e-manage. This has something to do with Greddy and them of which we are not privy to any information as yet.

I am still waiting for my friends to start posting their reports of their buying trip and photos of his workshop.

Someone in the NJ area has the kit. I saw it at the Wayne Mazda Car show.

They sent me this today: No good turbo kit is going to be cheap.
This kit makes the car approx. 260hp

Can anyone read japanese and explain their chart?

The Japanese text reads:

ターボ装着
(TAABO souchaku)

Which roughtly translates to "turbo equipped." So, I'm guessing that the top line is the turbocharged version, and the bottom line is stock.

I can't read Japanese, but I think the upper curve is the power curve and the lower is the torque curve. That's probably the worst dyno chart I've ever seen. I've seen worse.

Good luck? You do realize you bumped a 5 year old thread, right? I've not seen anyone install this and I'd imagine it would be hard to find.
