Renovation Renesis - Supercharged MPS RX-8

"Rumours about a supercharged Renesis rotary engine for a performance special rx-8 can be confirmed as truth. Hungry for more torque from it's high-spinning rotary, Mazda is tweaking the engine using a small Eaton supercharger, tucked tightly on the engine's right side, and an air-to-air intercooler bridging over the top,to boost power by 30kW and torque by a massive 120N.m.
There's no doubt the RX-8 could use more bottom end urge. More damaging to Mazda egos isn Hiroshima is the blunt fact that Nissan's 350Z comprehensively blows away the rx-8 over 400m"
Personally I would have discarded it except the details about supercharger placement suggest some sort of inside knowledge. But an Eaton 'charger?

I'm the only one at work today, so LOTS of free time. I was going to scan it but there's nothing else to see except a photo of the engine cover with the word supercharged pasted on.No details on price but for those who don't know metric. That's a 50% increase in torque. And power is tipped to go to 280Pps
