RX-8 Designer WANTS GTR-911 Killer!!!

The GT-R has less room in the rear than an RX-8, with 2 less doors...WTF dude Are you judging cabin space by the exterior dimensions? Because, clearly you've never sat in one, or even seen one in person. You speaking on it is the sin, because you really have no clue...
You don't have to defend the car like it's your firstborn...it really doesn't matter.

LOL! I could give a **** about the car, I just like for people to make sense when the comment on things. You that thing called facts and truth? A suggestion that the cars weight makes the car perform similar to other cars with the same weight is So forgive me for calling that out, but...its obvious.

Every econo-box and truck needs to go to series hybrid drivetrain, and drop consumption of petrol by ~70% or so (guess), and leave ~90% of the remaining petrol to us enthusiasts to burn with abandon.

^ it would be a 24X.... 4 rotor would be 32X
I still thing the X is going to be dropped for C, since it is another dimensions change, like the change from A to B. X has usually meant experimental. But then, we have a fondness for X, so X would be cool too

Forgot about that, you're right. If they can get the 16C up to 25/27mpg city/hwy, and make a profitable, affordable 8 successor, then I see no reason why they wouldn't at least explore the options. 24C would be a torque monster in NA form, no less with a turbo. Combined with the natural rotary characteristics, it would have everything the GT-R lacks; exotic appeal.

Even I must admit that the GTR performs well for its weight.
But even Nasa can control a 4.4 Million lb Rocket complete with boosters and get it to go precisely where they want. Why? Cause they got the computers...
And yes, I just compared the GTR to a NASA Rocket... Double Edged Swords FTL.
Oh, and here are my facts on that http://coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu/c...leweight.shtml
Back on Topic. A Ford GT, with a 3 rotor... brb, gotta clean up.

Can't argue with that. 3 Rotor Mazda GT would sick.

Unless the GTR dude mistook the ATM machine as a drive through facility...

you mean like how Its in Nissan to sell GTRs at 100k+? cause they were doing it for quite some time.
Mazda has a racers reputation. Anyone who has been to a track or watched a few races know that Mazda makes good cars. The support sucks everywhere.
I've seen a Toyota guy try to explain to my ex mechanic father that his CEL was for his tire being under-inflated
"So whats that tire pressure sensor light on the dash for?"
That comes on when its flat, not when its low...
Needless to say, we let him have it, then his service manager let him have it. No... it wasn't a sales guy, it was a mechanic.

Mazda has a good and rising reputation, there's no reason you'd pay 100k for a Nissan and not for a Mazda, just look at Jeremy Clarkson's Datsun statements :P
But a supercar from Mazda would mean I'd never get it anyway (as we pay tax for both co2 output and horsepower and a new RX-8 is like 130k dollars in our currency with todays exchange rate.). But I'm not asking for much, 300 real N/A horsepower from the 16x would rock And then release a factual Mazdaspeed version with a turbo and 450hp

A Turbo 3 Rotor would be a direct competitor to the GT-R, and would have more like 550hp if done properly. I think that would be a little over kill of the RX-8 drom the factory. A 2 Rotor Turbo Mazdaspeed 16X or C with 400hp would be more realistic for that platform. A 3 Rotor would fit a mid engined car perfectly, and would start around 60k.
Mazda would crush on every platform. I just hope they don't ruin the styling for the next 8.

to be 100% honest, I think Mazda has done it again with the 8. This design is one that transcends time, like the Rx7.
In all complete honesty. I think that they should bring out a Redesigned Rx7 design (Based very closely on the FD), with 3 Rotor set in the Hatch (Mid engine, or sitting directly above the Axle).
Then drop the 16X in another Redesigned Rx8 style vehicle.
This in my opinion is the definition of perfection.

Awesome as that might be, Mazda would actually lose money on it... Furai seems like a great Idea, but even it is not livable. If Mazda ever decided to go luxury in the US 3 Rotors galore would pop up, with Mazda Luxury service, which includes Free Oil changes etc. AWESOME THAT WOULD BE.
