The worst part is the ricer wing...
This car won't do much to improve the 8's image...

Watch the Edmunds video....
6.7 0-60 time
14.9 sec 1/4mile
What a POS.
Get rid of that wing and 19" wheels. Add some tuning to get the most power out of that Greddy turbo!

Yah I was thinking the same thing it seems like they just threw it on without even trying to tune it

Still not a huge fan of that kit. Not really digging the paint job either.

It looks like a girl's car. I hope my car never "looks" like a girl's car. I think it would be pretty interesting to set it up and race it against a stock 6 speed and see who has the fastest times. So did they add about 1000 lbs to the car to get ~ the same times as a stock 8 or did they forget to connect the turbo somehow?

Edmunds may have some editors that can't drive.... with a stock 8 they got
"0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds and ran the quarter in 15.4 seconds at 92.7 mph".

they said it was due to a lot of abuse that the car dyno so low. Apparently a lot of other cars in the movie that previously dynoed higher numbers, dynoed significantly less after the movie due to major abuse.

Were the 8 owners driving them, or Professionals who were used to pistons? The reason I ask is because if you stomp down hard on an ordinary car you get excelleration, but if you over do it on an 8 it bucks back a little and you lose performance, you have to find that sweet spot and just let it keep powering up - the abuse sounds like they were pushing them like they were piston....?

That would make some sence. However, it really doesnt matter how much horsepower is in the car in real life because its a movie car. Itll probably "have" 400hp or something like that in the movie world it lives in. It may be slow as hell but they will bring in the movie magic and make it look fast and furious.

Sport Compact Car dynoed the thing and it made 200 whp - however, it made that BEFORE IT WENT INTO LIMP MODE AT ~5000 RPMS!!!

The thing could have been legitametly fast before being abused

Man they must make those cars as fast as possible just getting them to perform for a short while and then huck them in the garbage. I wonder how bad Frankie Muniz Jetta was when he got it off the TFATF
