I like all the attention my car gets because its so much different then the other cars and there arnt many 8s on the road. However, it pains me to see it in baby blue with a huge park bench on the back. I hate the idea of ricers destroying it in the name of being fast and furious. So i hope it get minimal attention just for sake of saving it form ricers but i would like some attention for an increased aftermarket and overall sales.
The older generation will think like you. The younger generation will priase this movie.
Either way, the RX-8 gets a wrap as any publicity is good publicity

Turboed or Supercharged. You can see that huge *** intercooler gnarling at you from the front.
Yeah, whoever said they prolly used NOS to keep up with other high powered cars... you are correct. Turboed or SCed + NOS

If I remember correctly, the people they used in the movies,(1&2) the majority of them couldn't drive a stick so they had to get automatics.
I don't understand how someone is acting in a driving/racing movie, yet they can't really drive...

the 350z is the star of the movie......
But that scene with z drifting upwards on that spiral road was pretty awesome... I hope the 8 will get more screentime....
I never had even heard of a supra until the first movie came out

If i see one Its never more than 1 per day. I love that. I want the 8 to get publicity but i dont want to get so much publicity that I cant go a day without seein a few 8s. I like the fact that it looks very different from everything else on the road and dare i say even exotic looking. I dont want people to get immune to the looks of the 8. Honestly the 8 is a real head turner. When i drive i always see people in much more expensive cars staring at that 8. That is really special and if we have people ricing the hell out of the 8 on every corner that will ruin that specialness. So as i stated before some screentime will be good for publicity, sales and aftermarket but too much could be bad really.

I agree completely. I hardly ever see an 8 in Dayton or St. Louis. The fact that most people don't know what it is adds to the mystique. People will always assume that it is some expensive fancy exotic car when it is really just sex on wheels.

I don't get why just about everyone bashes these movies. Yeah the acting kind of sucks and the some of the stunts are a little unbelievable (ie the nitroed ride in f and f jumping the bridge....ok), but so what it's an action movie about cars. Anyone expected an award winning nomination is barking up the wrong tree.

i live in cincinnati and see at least 10 8s a week (though some may be repeated spottings). i'd hate for it to get as common as an eclipse or a civic. i work for a rental car company and park my car out front every day. i get complemented on it about every day too - someone's always asking if they can rent it. it's a great looking car stock, but if people do starting ricing it out, i may have to part with it sooner than i would like.

why would other people having it and other people ricing it out change how you feel about your car? the rx8 will be as common as a high 20k car can be, it cant get to a level of a civic. its also not going to be the rarest car you ever see, because its a high 20k car. and the fact of the matter is all cars get riced out so if you part with it and get the next thing, chances are, it will get riced out too, but that shouldn't affect your opinion of the car in the first place...
