You don't loose traction and ABS with the Greddy kit. I don't know where they got that from. Also, if Mazdaspeed does come out with a turbo kit, extremely unlikely in my opinion, it is not going to be all that. Mazdaspeed stuff is always very conservative because they have to worry about warrenty. They aren't going to make a kit that puts 300hp to the wheels since that would greatly increase the chances of engine problems that they will be responsible to fix under warrenty. If they do come out with a kit, I highly doubt it will do any more than the Greddy kit, and will cost alot more!

yeah--an MS8 would probably post acceleration times close to or slightly better than a stock 350Z. Basically a Greddy type setup with a warranty.

No, it's pretty hard to misinterpret Mitani's statement:
I believe this RX-8 is the prettiest car to have come out of Japan...ever
:p

Here's the article: R&T RX-8 preview (The R&T site has a pretty good search function - the quote is on page 2 of the article)

Just picked up the magazine today. The car seems to be :

1) Underpowered - Got only 224 hp & 172 lb.-ft. @ the wheels. Most of the
Greddy cars are getting in the 240 range for hp & 190+ lb.-ft. fo tq.
2) Heavy - 3300 lb. curb weight !!! Actual weight 3480 lbs. (with driver & full
tank of gas. Drop the 300 lbs. of stereo equipment & we might have a
player

I think it will need more work under the hood besides the drop of 300lbs.
