Speed Magazine Greddy Turbo RX-8 Loses big to blown Mustang and audi TT

They claim they got 224HP at the wheels with the Greddy Turbo but the 0-60 and 1/4 mile were about only 0.2 seconds faster than stock (5.8 and 14.4 compared to 6.0 and 14.6 stock). They were dissappointed with these numbers but made some great comments about the feel and handling of the RX-8.

Oh well, can't win them all. But a Turbo capable of producing 300HP at the wheels and street legal would be really nice!

For that comment, you are going to have to buy me a beer at the next meet! Thanks.

I come back from a 2 week vacation, finally have a few minutes to check out the book store, see a breand new Speed Magazine and thinking to myself "Oh Perfect!! " Read the article with mixed emotions, give it top priority to let the other RX8 members know. Then I realize I can't read **** because I didn't see the previous post that is already 2 weeks old. I apologize for still being in "beach mode".

Darkman, beer on me.

Can I get a beer also, I opened this thread just to see who'd flamed you. My first bet was on Mugatu.

It all your fault, Red Devil. I just came back from a 2 week holiday in your state in Pompano Beach! We had a great time. I'm still smiling. If you make it to Toronto, I'll certainly buy you a beer. Promise.

BTW, I saw more vettes, stangs and 350's that camry's, corollas and civics comibined. Only saw 1/2 dozen RX-8's. I was very happy about that and they looked better and more exotic given their low numbers. Had a Grey RX-8 parked in the condo building one morning, went to get a coffee in the kitchen and then it was gone. .

Fair enough, I currently live in Chicago, so I'm closer to your neck of the woods than you think. I'll remember the promised beer comment. :D

He must be away or on vacation. I know he would have got it first. Since you're buying us all beers, can I get a Red Stripe? :D
