I know a few of you good people in the US watch this too but last night they had a HP RX8 but can you guess why????

they also had the new Lambo cabro, a Enzo, a Ford lightening,a Holden thing, and the little one doing a Spainish Bull run!

Was this a new episode shown on the BBC? If so, we only get old cut-up versions of the show in the US. We may or may not see it. What was the date the show ran. We can try to pick it up on the P2P networks.

orginal air date was 7/8/05 some times the BBC offer free downloads of programs so it could be on there!

i also saw a lot on Shareza (sp).....not that i would dream of using P2P for downloading anything with out paying the publisher!

www.finalgear.com, im become quite close with the people who run/frequent the site. recently in the last couple months TopGear was pulled due to letters from the BBC. Fifthgear can still be downloaded. and there is a forum that offers reviews of the episode as well as a look at the euro car world.

 

So for those deprived people living in the USA, what did they do with the RX8 on the show? And what is an HP RX-8?

im interested to download this episode and watch, the only other RX8 ive seen on topgear was when the had a stock one.

 

I believe HP means "high-power" RX-8, which is one of the available engine option in Europe.

 

Anybody in the USA can watch it. All you have to do is download it via bittorent. Go to www.mininova.com and search for Top Gear. The episode we're talking about is the one that aired Sunday, August 7th in the UK. They were trying to use the sounds of car exhausts to make music.

 

not much to see for rx-8 other than mentioning about its 9k rpm for the recording....

 

They recorded the exhaust & engine sounds of all types of vehicles to recreate their theme song.

Kinda interesting to watch, but < 10 seconds spent with the RX-8.
